This project is dedicated to boosting civic engagement and local charitable giving.
Increasing voter participation helps democracy and our community.
Boost Woodinville turn-out and boost Woodinville charity.
Like a walk-a-thon, our sponsors pledge contributions to the charity based achieving a goal. When the goal is reached the sponsors make their donations.
The goal is just a percentage of voter participation. Only the count of returned ballots, nothing else matters.
Both democracy and the community win.
Our participation goal the 2025 elections is 55%.
That sounds big - it is not. Woodinville exceeds it regularly (see graph).
While elections every year, many people forget the odd numbered years (2021, 2023, and 2025). A lack of national races let people believe these off-years are less important, they are not.
Odd-year elections are local elections.
These ballots define the future of Woodinville.
No money is collected or handled by this organization. All donations are transactions between individual sponsors and the charity.
No party, issue or candidate is supported or opposed.
Only the percentage of registered voters returning a ballot matters.
Voter participation percentage will be as reported in the final King County Elections website results PDF published after election certifications (see example from 2023 in the picture). Final certifications from King County Elections are on: August 19th and November 25th respectively.
Two elections are happening in Woodinville this year (2025):
Sponsors commit to donate half their funds if 55% is exceeded in each election. Reaching 55% in both elections means the full funding pool goes to the charity.
The Woodinville Storehouse Food Bank is operated by a coalition of churches and denominations serving the local community by providing nourishment and ministry to those in need.
Anyone who is experiencing food insecurity is invited to become a client for as long as they need. We provide quality food including dairy, baked goods, produce, meat and vegetables.
